Nat Gilmore
I am currently working as an AC in both narrative and commercial productions. I studied Communications and Film at Santa Clara University. My goal as a filmmaker is to illuminate stories in order to spark progress and conversation. I enjoy exploring how cinematography can enhance a story or message for better communication. Highlighting real-life stories that show the truth of the world, telling fictional stories of hard to explain emotions or experiences, or helping bring others' stories to life drive my inspiration to create.
I have worked on various types of sets, from directing both artistic and corporate documentaries to being the Director of Photography on short films, and most recently equipment managing for NFL Films on Hard Knocks. I worked as a camera rental tech at Redstar Baltimore for 2 years prior to becoming an AC. These wide experiences give me a vast tool kit to approach any problem a story might throw my way. I hope to expand these skills over the next few years working on both corporate, personal and studio work. I want to grow my network of driven filmmakers to expand creatively and technically.
